Despite the results of the Presidential election, there's some important good news to remember from the November elections:
- Democrat Elissa Slotkin narrowly won the open US Senate seat for Michigan. (Ms. Slotkin used MIvoter in her campaign!)
- Democratically-endorsed Michigan Supreme Court candidates Kyra Bolden and Kimberly Thomas won their races by nearly 2-to-1! This is what happens when we have well-informed voters who understand the non-partisan parts of the ballot.
So we have an important 5-2 advantage in the Michigan Supreme Court. (The 2018 stop-gerrymandering amendment only happened because of a narrow victory in the Court.) - There were many other Democratically-endorsed judicial wins, such as S. Kerene Moore and Jinan Hamood.
